The YWCA USA National Conference is our opportunity to come together under one roof to connect and share, to learn and reflect, and to make planful motions that will bring us closer to realizing our full potential as a national force.
Why Attend?
Every day, YWCAs are making strides and changing their communities for the better through their work to meet critical needs. At National Conference, with Local Associations at the lead, we will learn from one another, share our successes and opportunities, and explore conversations supporting our work in racial justice, civil rights, women’s empowerment and economic advancement, health and safety, and our programming in such areas as gender-based violence services, housing, and child care for working families. And of course, we'll take our voices and our energy to Capitol Hill to advocate for the funding, programs, and services that make a difference and advance justice and equity in our communities to help all women and families thrive.
Capitol Hill Day
A record number of YWCA advocates will meet with their Senators and Representatives on Capitol Hill Day 2023. Together, we will urge Congress to increase federal funding for childcare, housing, and gender-based violence programs and services provided across the YWCA network. We will also urge our elected officials to address racism as a public health crisis.
Welcome To Washington D.C.
National Conference isn’t about YWCA USA, it’s about our broad network of local YWCA associations that implement the work at the local level for women, families, and people of color every day. It’s a time for our Local Associations to share, as a community of learning, and to walk away inspired by each other and the work of the YWCA family. It is a time for the YWCA movement, united as One YWCA, to share and celebrate our history, our mission and impact, planning for the work ahead, and continuing to write our YWCA story.
