Naya Diaz
Executive Director
Naya is the Executive Director to YWCA Greater Austin and serves her community through servant and feminist leadership styles. Naya has deep roots in the Texas borderlands- Rio Grande Valley- growing up as a migrant farmworker. As a bilingual professional, her background includes 17 + years of experience in nonprofit and HR management service delivery with a drive to advocate for individual and systemic change through strategic thinking, capacity building, and community building. Naya is on a continuous journey of impacting women- especially women of color; and is passionate about breaking intergenerational cycles of harm and poverty. Her community work includes building and sustaining a collective framework that includes healing justice initatives, individual & communal liberation and a revolution of the heart that is reflected in the fabric of our democracy.

National Conference isn’t about YWCA USA, it’s about our broad network of local YWCA associations that implement the work at the local level for women, families, and people of color every day. It’s a time for our Local Associations to share, as a community of learning, and to walk away inspired by each other and the work of the YWCA family. It is a time for the YWCA movement, united as One YWCA, to share and celebrate our history, our mission and impact, planning for the work ahead, and continuing to write our YWCA story.
